Meet Julia du Plessis
BA Human Movement Studies and Psychology (Potchefstroom).
BA Hons in Sport Science (UJ)
BA Hons in Biokinetics (UJ)
Julia is the practice owner, a registered Biokineticist and a professional high jumper with a passion for helping people move, perform, and live better. My journey in human movement started from a young age, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how the body functions, both in high-performance sports and everyday life.
As an athlete, I know firsthand the importance of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and optimizing movement. But beyond sports, I also understand the challenges people face when recovering from injuries, managing chronic conditions, or simply wanting to move pain-free. Having undergone a thyroidectomy at a young age, I have personally experienced how chronic illness can impact daily life, both physically and mentally. This experience has deepened my commitment to helping individuals regain strength, improve mobility, and enhance their overall well-being through movement-based therapy.
